Golf Tourney Benefitting Nacogdoches Athletic Boosters is July 23
I believe that when it comes to golfing, hitting perfect shots over and over just gets boring. That's why I like to avoid the fairway as much as possible. I like to explore the trees, the ponds, and people's yards. Basically, I combine the game of golf with hide-and-seek. Needless to say, that strategy works well if you're trying to lose several sleeves of golf balls, but not so much if you're playing in a scramble.
Play Golf and Raise Money For A Good Cause
The Nacogdoches High School Dragons Athletic Booster Club is hosting a benefit golf tournament on Thursday, July 23. It will take place at the scenic Lumberjack National Golf Club located just south of Nacogdoches on Highway 59. It's a 4-person scramble format with prizes for top teams. The cost to enter is $125 per individual or $500 per team. Anyone wanting more details or to register for the tournament may contact Coach Harold Scroggins at 936-556-2648 or email him at hscroggins@nacisd.org.
