Carnival Announces Major Change for Texas, Louisiana Cruises
(KMDL-FM) If you are a cruise geek, which I have been told I am, you might enjoy watching some of the live stream cameras from Galveston or New Orleans. I find it fascinating how the ship captains and harbor pilots maneuver and manipulate these floating cities in and out of those harbors.
Now, if you really want to see some cruise chaos, check out the live webcam from the Port of Miami. If you tune in around 4 pm Central on most days, you will see several ships embarking on voyages at the same time. It's kind of like a boat parade but with large buildings.

One of the leading cruise lines that serves New Orleans, Galveston, and Miami is Carnival Cruise Line. I think they still call themselves the "Fun Ships," and depending on your definition of fun, they just might live up to that bill.
Carnival Cruise Line Addresses Major Complaint From On-Board Guests
However, one of the biggest complaints that Carnival guests have been vocalizing as of late has to do with the choice of beverages on board the vessel. I don't care who you are, having to go two or three days on vacation without your favorite drink would put a damper on the fun.
The principles at Carnival have listened to you and have made a change. Not to besmirch the good folks at Pepsi and their litany of fine products, but most of the Carnival crowd has been clamoring for Coke and Coke products on board. That is now happening.

According to the website Cruise Hive, Coke products will replace Pepsi onboard the ships of Carnival's North American fleet "later this summer". I know, I hate vague generalities too, but that's the most accurate information we can offer at this time.
What Beverage Choices Are Offered on Carnival Cruise Ships?
What we do know is what kind of products will be offered to guests once the changes have been made. Drinks like Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Topo Chico, and Powerade are confirmed to be among the choices that guests will be able to make a selection from once the change is implemented.
Based on the online reaction to the news, this will be a positive change in the minds of many cruise guests who choose the Carnival line for their vacation travels. We hope to have a confirmed date for you on when the drink changes will be made so you can plan your trip accordingly.
But regardless, Coke or Pepsi, the "drink package" is still a waste of your money.
