Those of you that know me or have even just read some of my posts before, know that I like keeping up with construction projects. The closer they get to completion, the more excited I get, especially the projects here in Deep East Texas. Well, there's one in Nacogdoches that's getting to that point, and it's really starting to take shape.

Marshalls in Nacogdoches is Getting Closer to Completion

I've been keeping an eye on what's set to become the new Marshalls location in Nacogdoches since they made the announcement at the end of 2025. If you don't know what I'm referring to, Marshalls is going to be opening a new store at 4301A North Street, which is the former Tractor Supply location next to Hobby Lobby. Now, they've gotten to the point in the construction process where they've finished the front exterior and have even hung the Marshalls sign out there.

If you go to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website, you'll see that this project was registered on October 31, 2025. They had the start date set for June 8, 2026, and the completion date is set for September 26, 2026. This is what the building currently looks like, as of August 12, 2026:

If you're able to zoom in, you'll see that there's still a lot of work that still needs to be done to complete the interior. However, with over a month left before their estimated completion date, I don't think that it will be an issue to have it done before then.

I know that I get excited for new things to come in the area, but this is actually a really cool thing for Nacogdoches - and Deep East Texas - as a whole. Hopefully it's just the beginning of new businesses heading into the area.
