Another week, another new Community Rockstar. So far we've had someone that spends lots of time volunteering, and a founder of a local non-profit. This week, our Community Rockstar is a local business owner that's not only operating his business, but partnering with other local groups to make Deep East Texas even better.

Scott Grimes, Our Newest Deep East Texas Community Rockstar

This week's Community Rockstar is Mr. Scott Grimes, owner and operator of Grimes Tree Service. According to the nomination that we received, "Scott Grimes and his team at Grimes Tree Service are known not only for their tree care expertise, but also for their commitment to helping the community," and that "Scott wants to use their work to spread kindness and hope."

So, to make that impact happen, he has teamed up with another group in the community, Make It Happen Ministries. Scott could just stop at just watching out for his business, but instead he's watching out for the community, too. The sentence that kind of drives Scott's nomination home though was the one that the nominator closed with, and that's that Scott's "legacy of service and love continues to flourish, one tree at a time."

Scott's dedication to the Deep East Texas community is what makes him this week's Deep East Texas Community Rockstar. That title comes with a few things. For being named a Community Rockstar, he'll be receiving a cool framed certificate from Q107 and Zion's Auto Glass, and a gift certificate to Lone Star Charlie's in Lufkin. Congratulations, Scott Grimes for being named Community Rockstar. Thank you so much for your dedication to Deep East Texas!
