Lufkin Man Missing In Del Rio, Texas After Striking Dam
- 42-year-old Richard Babb was last seen in Del Rio, Texas near the Lake Amistad Dam.
- Babb was guiding a bow fishing trip with two clients.
- The boat he was driving and both passengers were recovered.
UPDATE: Richard Babb's body was recovered from the area where he was last seen in the water.
Members of the Lufkin community are on edge as a search continues for one of their own. Richard Babb, 42, of Lufkin, Texas has been missing since February 3, 2024.
Lufkin Native Missing After Guiding Bow Hunting Trip
The Lufkin native also known as "Man" was last seen on his boat near the Lake Amistad Dam in Del Rio, Texas on Saturday. He was guiding a bow fishing tour for two clients.
At some point during the tour, the back of his boat struck the dam. Babb was last seen in distress after colliding with the dam.

Babb was wearing light-colored clothing at the time. His boat was recovered safely.
According to Texas EquuSearch the two passengers that he was taking on the bow fishing tour were both found and are safe.
