Lufkin Crime Alert: Vehicle Thefts Target Neighborhood

Vehicle burglaries are going to happen occasionally in the Brookhollow Subdivision in Lufkin. Anything outside of a garage under lock and key is up for grabs.

According to The Lufkin Daily News on December 4, 2014 Lufkin Police investigated a number of vehicle burglaries that happened overnight.

They hit over 7 vehicles all at once, and items were taken from each and reported stolen. This was over 10 years ago, but this nice neighborhood is still a target.

Lufkin PD Needs Your Help Identifying This Possible Suspect

Once again someone has entered the very front area of the Brookhollow subdivision and is trying door handles. Their efforts have already been rewarded so far with firearms being among the stolen items.

They have some really good footage, which could be from a Tesla vehicle camera system. The suspect did a good job of covering their face, but if you live with this person you might know who it is.

Crime Stoppers at first asked us to help find this person, just for questioning. They didn't have a clear video then. Now they found a clearer image and officers are certain that this person was involved in the burglaries

LPD Extra: Fentanyl Exposure At Gas Pumps

The Lufkin Police investigated a report of a driver who experienced a reaction to a sticky substance on a gas pump handle, and they are aware of the social media posts raising concerns about fentanyl exposure.

The investigation is not complete. The warnings that are being circulated look similar to old social media posts, just trying to scare people.

There are no credible sources and no knowledge of any law enforcement confirming that it has ever happened.
