Huntington, Texas Gets Their First McDonald’s: What You Need To Know
If you live in Huntington it's usually at least a 20-minute drive to get 'fast food'. That is why news about a new restaurant chain coming to town is spreading so quickly.
According to the Lufkin Daily News, we are less than a year away from having McDonald's french fries on tap in Red Devil country. Project details are on file with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation that says construction should start next to Jerry's Tire Shop & Service Center on March 3, 2025.
Once they break ground, things will happen very quickly, and the restaurant could be completed as early as July 9. The owner at 700 US HWY 69 North is listed as McDonald's USA.
McDonald's To Open Next Summer In Huntington
McDonald's has come a long way in the past few years. The buildings they create and food choices they have are ever-evolving.
This store will be designed by Castles Design Group in Houston. They will take the time to add details making the restaurant uniquely Huntington.
They usually incorporate local sports teams and landmarks into interior designs. In the newest Lufkin McDonald's, there is a map of Lufkin covering one of the walls.
New McDonald's In Huntington Costs $750,000 To Make
To make this Huntington McDonald's a reality, the new construction building will cost $750,000. The 3,600-square-foot restaurant will incorporate a dual-lane drive-thru for maximum efficiency.
