When I see a particularly bad crime, usually something pops up. Today, when I looked into the arrest of Joshua Gregory Blackstone, 49, of Zavalla, there were some disturbing things in his past.

His current crime of sexually assaulting an unconscious person would seem as bad as it gets. It is a second-degree felony with a bond of $300,000.

Murderer From The 90's Lives On In Zavalla

Joshua Blackstone was barely an adult when he was convicted of murder at 18 in Runnels County, Texas. The area is slightly east of San Angelo, south of Abilene.

This is a small town, without a lot to do, especially if he was living in Ballinger in 1993. He was sentenced and resided in Ferguson Prison, according to insideprison.com.

He must have been granted parole at some point and relocated to the Zavalla area. Here he is on parole for the murder, and now, since he has a new charge will be going back to jail for a long time.
