Mondays are usually the most dreaded day of the week. It's the first day of a long week of work or school. Sometimes, it's a day of recovery from a weekend that was a little too strong.

Sometimes...Mondays are Great!

If Lady Luck is shining on you, Mondays can be fantastic. Three Texas Lottery players saw a lot of matching numbers when it came to the Powerball and Texas Two-Step games.

Powerball Winners

Let's start with the Powerball game. Nobody matched all six numbers for the jackpot worth an estimated $144 million. However, two players in Texas did manage to match all five of the 'non-Powerball' numbers. That's worth one million dollars each!

One winner purchased their ticket from this Fuel Depot location in Hempstead (northwest of Houston), located at 1105 13th Street.

The other winning ticket was purchased in Corpus Christi at this Stripes Convenience Store at 7602-A Everhart Road.

Neither player had chosen the Power Play option for one extra buck. Had they done so, each would have doubled their money to $2 million.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on July 31. The jackpot will be worth $154 million with an estimated cash value of $73.3 million.

Texas Two-Step Winner

For Monday's drawing, Somebody purchased a winning ticket at this Timewise store in Webster, located on the Gulf Freeway southwest of Houston.

That ticket matched all five winning numbers and was worth $325,000. The Texas Two-Step jackpot now goes back to $200,000 on August 1.

The next Mega Millions drawing will happen on Tuesday night (7/30) with a jackpot worth $331 million.
