This Tiny East Texas Town Just Had a $100,000 Scratch Off Winner
There are over 70 Texas Lottery scratch-off games in circulation. Every week, several lucky souls score top jackpots ranging from $30,000 to $7,500,000. The majority of those winners come from metro areas such as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.
Earlier this week, a convenience store just north of the small town of Karnack, Texas, sold a winning scratch-off ticket that paid out $100,000.
The Run In is one of several convenience stores located on the western boundary of Caddo Lake.
It makes me wonder if the winning ticket was bought by someone this past weekend who was on their way to enjoy a beautiful weekend at the largest naturally formed lake in Texas.
What Scratch-Off Game Was Bought?
Sizzling Hot 7s is a $5 game that was introduced on April 7. It features five top prizes of $100,000. That number is now down to four. The odds of winning one of the jackpots are 1 in 1,440,000.

$200,000 Texas Two Step Winner
Brenham, Texas, is known as the headquarters for Blue Bell Ice Cream. It's also home to the most recent Texas Lottery Texas Two Step winner.
Somebody purchased a ticket at the Stop N Bye #2 (previously 4 Way) that matched all five numbers in Monday's drawing. That's a $200,000 payout.
The previous Texas Two Step drawing on April 10 also produced a winner. Someone purchased a winning ticket in Houston at the Hardy Shell Station near the International Airport.
That winning ticket was worth $925,000.
