Angelina Master Gardeners Fall Native Plant Sale Coming To Lufkin, Texas
When you are making decisions regarding what to put in your yard in Deep East Texas, you need to know that the plants you decide on are going to survive. Some plants just do better in our soil and sun than others.
That's where the Angelina Master Gardeners come in to play. They have a greenhouse on the grounds of the Angelina County Farmers Market, and are putting on their fall native plant sale on Saturday, September 24th, 2022.
The sale will include many plants that are made to withstand the weather here in East Texas.
- Ferns
- Grasses
- Perennials
- Shrubs
- Trees
- Edibles
The sale starts at 8 am, which is the best time to get there for the best selection. The early bird gets the worm…or the plant in this situation. They are also offering spring bulbs that will naturalize in your garden for the first time.
That means that they might not be native, but they will still reseed, spread, and attract pollinators just the same as the native plants they are selling.
